Commissioned at the beginning of February to meet up with Jesse Lingard and take a set of editorial portraits commissioned for The Daily Telegraph sports section.
The Manchester United football player was in London for a Premier League event where he was making the exclusive interview.
The room for the shoot about the size of a broom cupboard.
In the small surroundings we had been given to carry out the interview – the room about the size of a broom cupboard I was able to use a small lighting set up. Luckily the room had a decent black sheet separating the cloak room and where we had to work.
Jesse arrived with his entourage of agents and pr consultants leaving enough room for me to position him away from a huge branding board with the black background. Giving us a more exclusive look to the shoot away from any sponsored event.
I quietly placed myself so that I could shoot some frames discretely during the interview – which gave me a set of natural expressions from Jesse while he was talking. I had a bout 30 seconds at the end for portraits – but I felt I already had the pictures in the bag.
