After the months taking on editorial photography assignments covering the COVID_19 pandemic I finally got away. With everybody else!
No need to travel abroad this year! Well actually I did go to Germany in June on assignment. Then spending 14 days in quarantine in my garden. That was almost a rest apart from home schooling the boys…Urghh
There are so many photographs jumping out in front of you that the camera cannot rest!
For my summer holiday with Mrs. G and our boys we planned a trip to South Devon and then West Wales. I love the English & Welsh coastal paths. Only I found that there are so many photographs jumping out in front of you that the camera cannot rest!
Arriving at Hope Cove was a beautiful sight. The early morning mist rising above the rock faces jutting out of the water around the harbour. A truly magical spot. Myself and the boys climbing the rocks before heading over to the small beach. Then a midday swim in the fresh sea water keeping an eye out for various types of jelly fish in the shallow water.
As we left the beach I couldn’t help myself from taking this photo of a man sleeping off the previous night on the beach. I took this shot with the Canon EOS M6 Mrk II. Perfect companion for candid photography using silent mode and the screen to compose the shot.
I can’t wait to return to South Devon as now I’ve got holiday blues..
