Corporate photography commission in London shooting event photographs for McDonald’s Minecraft campaign event last week. My brief was to shoot various set-ups of the styled venue, then still life’s of the Minecraft collectables, and then influencers enjoying the food.
These types of events are normally high-octane, fast moving with a quick turnaround with the images. On this particular scenario we had two separate sessions. With a break between events to re-style the sets and then shoot all the content ahead of the arrivals. On site we reviewed the shots on my laptop, allowing time to edit and get the client sign off for the images.
Lee the stylist worked fastidiously, making sure everything was in the correct place ready to take photographs of the venue ahead of the arrival of the many influencers. I’m used to working in tight schedules through my editorial experience. Working in newspapers for over 20+ years also gives me great insight into what editors are looking for to run live on web and then print editions.
The influencers brought along their families to give them the chance to sample the various new Minecraft Movie Meals coming to McDonalds.
I concentrated on capturing the attendees enjoying the food and looking at the new exciting collectables scattered around the venue.
I always enjoy photographing events and interacting with people, and on the day even Angry Ginge the influencer seemed to be having fun!
Please get in touch if you would like me to come and photograph any upcoming corporate events. info@jeffgilbert.co.uk
