This last month has been full of interesting assignments. The pinnacle of this week has been taking the ‘State Banquet Formal Group Photograph’ inside Buckingham Palace. This historical photograph is only ever taken on official State Visits to the UK by heads of State. It was a great honour to be assigned to cover this.
HRM Queen Elizabeth on Monday night welcomed President of The United States of America Donald Trump to Buckingham Palace for the State Banquet.
I was commissioned as one of the only four Royal Rota photographers worldwide to take this historical photograph.
After various security checks we were escorted inside the Music Room at Buckingham Palace. Here we waited for Her Majesty and Donald Trump. Once the doors opened to the historic Music Room the Queen, Donald Trump and Royal family members lined up in the opposite doorway. We were given around 10 seconds to take this photo!
Kindly before the official photo one of my colleagues took this snap of myself flanked by New York Times photographer Doug Mills and White House photographer Shealah Craighead.
