Last week commissioned to photograph one of Italy’s prestigious sports cars. The V10-powered Lamborghini Huracan definitely did not disappoint.
Fortunate enough to get great weather at the Longcross Test Circuit whilst photographing the latest Lamborghini. Shooting photographs for an online and print editorial review. Deciding it was safest to do this editorial shoot away from public roads. Although with the sheer roar from the engine people would get plenty of warning when this super-car is in the vicinity.
No budget for an assistant I had to remotely shoot the tracking shots.
My brief was tracking shots, details, panning shots, etc. I’ve been shooting cars on and off for over 20 years which helped me estimate our schedule. This particular shoot we only had the test circuit for 2 hours. So I had to work fast. With no budget for an assistant I remotely shot the tracking shots. Using Canon software and my EOS M6 mark II attached to various parts of my vehicle. This enabled me to photograph back towards the Lamborghini driven by the journalist getting the car in motion.
We achieved a great set of images from the short time. A beautiful car to photograph with all the shapes and details. The colour was especially good. Only next time it would be wonderful to carry out the editorial shoot along the curvy roads of the Great Dolomites in Italy…..any callers?
