This week I was assigned by the Daily Telegraph style section to photograph Professor Charles Spence. Meeting him for a portrait session at the location Kitchen Theory in Barnet.
Portrait of Professor Charles Spence demonstrating the scientific effect of not just smell but sight.
Laughing wearing cordless headphones and listening to the soundtrack of sea noises whilst he positioned himself at the table. Head of Crossmodal Research Laboratory at Oxford and winner of the Ig Nobel Prize I wouldn’t of expected anything else! Prof . Charles explaining that the noises enhances both taste and texture of food.
The reason I was taking editorial portraits of him was for an article reviewing his latest book ‘Gastrophysics:The New Science Of Eating‘.
