My favourite portrait of the week goes to Craig Donald CEO of Metro Bank. I had quite a short time to succeed in getting a good corporate photograph within the 30 minutes given between his busy schedule. The portrait required for an upcoming interview Craig was featuring in one of UK’s largest newspapers, where he was part of a panel of businessmen reviewing the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement.
Metro Banks have good space for shooting corporate portraits with very bold colours.
I didn’t want a photograph that looked like it had been shot ready for a corporate annual report so I avoided all the cliche options. Metro Banks have good space for shooting portraits, but have very bold colours everywhere with a red, blue and silver colour scheme on carpets, walls and furniture. I found a long corridor quite dimly lit with minimal branding and low lighting to get a more atmospheric edge to the portrait.
